Halloween really got away from me this year. I had some big circus theme costume ideas, but three kids is no joke! They were lucky to have a costume at all, which poor Sterling did not. Lincoln, a strong man, Hazel was cotton candy. Hazel's cotton candy costume got pretty roughed up the week before at our Church's Trunk or Treat and we had to improvise for the big night. We went with crazy Target lady. :) She was a hoot pushing the cart around. Halloween night was very cold, but they managed to hit up a few houses. The best news of all...This is the best I've done not eating all the Halloween candy!

Lincoln had a field trip at the cutest little private pumpkin patch! As we arrived, we were greeted by a few cows that really didn't want to let us pass! They had smores, hayrides, a maze and a fun giant ball! It was a little rough bringing all three kids by myself, but we powered through.

I completely forgot to take three and four month pictures!! (third child) And now this little guy is 5 months. At his four month checkup he was 15 pounds, his head was in the 92% percentile (big brain) and his height was in the 75% percentile. He is the sweetest baby boy ever! So happy and chill. He went from sleeping 6-7 straight hours to waking up every 2-3 hours at night. He rolls over and is not too happy about it. Right at 5 months he started getting up in the crawling position! He will lunge forward, but his arms are not quite there yet. So, he gets around by getting up on all fours and lunging forward on his face... repeat. He LOVES his Sophie the Giraffe, his baby jumper, and laughs like crazy when I wiggle my face on his belly. He sticks his little tongue out when he smiles and I can hardly handle that much cuteness! He still HATES baths. Sterling is so perfect for our little family.

We decided to kick off the fall season with a trip to the sweetest Apple Orchard in St. Joseph. I have so many awesome memories of apple picking with my family and I wanted to continue that tradition. The kids loved picking the apples straight from the tree. Lincoln is such a picky eater and will only eat Granny Smith apples, but he tried every single one he picked. And, by that I mean he took a bite of every apple and then threw it in the bag. I'm just glad he tried something new. Hazel didn't quite have the muscle to pull the apples off the branch, but she had fun dragging the apple bag around like her purse.
